part of the 2022 budget process, staff conducted a survey of other Colorado municipalities concerning the compensation for Mayors and Councilmembers. Survey results indicated Wheat Ridge compensation is relatively low compared to neighboring communities (Attachment 1). The annual compensation for Mayor in Wheat Ridge is currently $10,080, which was last increased in 1997 (Attachment 2). The annual compensation for Councilmembers in Wheat Ridge is currently $7,200, which was last increased in 2001
