Item No. 8 - Reso. amending FY22 Budget to accept Byrne JAG
The Police Department received an Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) award for $11,159 from the Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs. The Police Department
plans to use the grant to cover overtime costs associated with targeted efforts to reduce crime within the I-70 and Kipling corridor and to provide resources for those experiencing
homelessness in this area. Grant requirements include advising City Council of the award as well as seeking input from community members on the proposed use of the grant funds.
